It’s been a year since Blue Jay Blog’s first post on Monday, July 8, 2013.
With 24 million readers across 195 countries since then (looking at you, Western Sahara), Year 1 has far exceeded our expectations.
We are incredibly excited about Year 2 and beyond. Our main focus remains posting every Tuesday(ish). The Year 1 goal was for Tim to write high-quality posts about various topics on a regular schedule. After a year of writing, we have a clearer idea of the topics we want to focus on, with over 300 future post ideas that we can’t wait to explore.
Additionally, we have many other ideas in mind. We are eager to explore different content mediums, create unique products for our store, and brainstorm creative ways to engage our readers and make Blue Jay Blog more interactive.
We want to express our gratitude, classified into categories:
Firstly, to those readers who visited the site once through a shared link but never returned—you might have had a lackluster (or terrible) first experience. We hope you give us another chance and that things go better next time. Here’s a stick figure drawing of a head and neck for you, even though you’re probably not reading this.
Secondly, to readers who visit occasionally but tend to forget about us—we hope you’re enjoying the connection as much as we do. We understand if you see us as just a passing interest. Here’s a full stick figure drawing, although the face might look a bit strange.
Lastly, to readers who found Blue Jay Blog in the past year, liked what they read, and have become dedicated followers—the ones who spread the word, subscribe, support us, and keep coming back despite the occasional post they may not like—you are our cherished audience, and we appreciate you. Your engagement means a lot to us, and we’re grateful for the connection we share through the internet. These posts are dedicated to you.
As a token of our appreciation, here’s a stick figure pyramid for you.
